One trick to get your desired feelings

Hey friend!

I wanted to make sure you’re aware of something if you’re not already. I discovered this concept a few years back and it literally changed my life. And that is, we get to decide the results in our life! And what triggered me to share this with you is because the other day I overheard someone say...

“I can’t help it…. it’s just the way I think!”

 It really caught my attention. I said it to myself slowly a second and third time really absorbing what this person had said. I’m pretty sure I’ve heard others say it before too, at least it sounded familiar, but for some it really stuck out to me.

Anyways, I thought to myself “it’s just…..the way…...I think?!  Say What?

It’s as though they were convinced they didn’t have a choice in what they were thinking about or that they’re incapable of even changing their mind.

 Maybe it's the way I perceived the conversation and I mean, I don’t know anything about this person but I just thought to myself.. What a limiting belief! That’s just simply not true. It’s the ONE thing we do have complete freedom over! We can change what we think! We can choose ANY THOUGHT THAT WE WANT, at ANY time!

 I guess it just made me realize why I do what I do and how important it is to spend time every day studying and learning to think in a way that serves me, that causes me to grow, that propels me towards my goals and not be limited to one way of thinking. Same goes for you too! You do get to decide what you think!

The thing is the thoughts that we think are EVERYTHING they determine our results! And if we’re walking around with the thought that “it’s just the way it is” well, we’re going to have very limited results!

 We have 100% control over the thoughts that we think! It’s our thoughts that make us feel the way we feel and unless we understand that, our outside circumstances are going to control us and ultimately our results!

So understand this, its…

THOUGHT determine FEELINGS, FEELINGS determine ACTION, ACTION = RESULTS

 Thought it omnipresent, its always here. We get to make it what it is. Negative or Positive.

Look at different areas of your life... your relationships, your health, your bank account...do you like what you see? If you’re not getting the results you want, I suggest to get quiet and listen to what’s going on in your mind.

 Easier said than done, right?

Well in fact, it’s easier than you may think! To figure out what your thoughts are, tune in to how you’re feeling! If you’re in a negative vibration, a bad mood, feeling meh...recognize how you feel.

After you’ve become aware of how you’re feeling and you don’t like the way you feel, grab a pen and paper!

 Here’s a little trick my mentor shared with me, and it works like magic to change how I’m feeling. Like I said, we have 100% control of how we’re feeling and because we can’t monitor every thought that comes to mind, recognize that you’re feeling low and decide to change it! When I’m in a low vibration this is what I do and it’s very effective.

 So I’ve already recognized that I’m feeling crumby, the next thing I do is… 

  1. Sit down with a pen and paper and write down everything in detail! How I’m feeling, why I’m feeling it, the results that its giving me. Everything.

  2. Take a second piece of paper and write down the exact opposite! Again, in all its detail! What do I want? How do I want to feel? Write it all down in the PRESENT tense! This part is important. 

  3. Burn the first piece of paper! Yep, burn it! Its symbolic, you’re letting it go! The circumstances aren’t going to change in that moment but when you can start to concentrate on how you want to feel, you’re going to start to open your mind to new possibilities, to new perspectives, to new empowering thoughts and you’re going to feel better!

 If you do these exercises often enough, you’ll start to switch your mind over to the positive side more quickly and not stay in a negative vibration longer than necessary. The truth is, you’re not going to be in a good mood all the time, clearly, but you don’t need to stay there.

I hope you give this a try the next time you’re feeling not so hot. It takes just a few minutes and works every time...even if just for a moment!
